## Description
German-Swiss cultural and media studies scholar; professor at Bern University of the Arts (HKB) and co-head of its transdisciplinary Y Institut. His book *Die Ordnung der Klänge* (2006), on the interplay of the arts from the Bauhaus to Black Mountain College, won the Media.Art.Research Award at Ars Electronica in 2009. Co-edited *Das geschulte Ohr*, a cultural history of sonification, and *Postcolonial Repercussions: On Sound Ontologies and Decolonised Listening*.
