## Description
American composer and theorist who worked as an early computer-music researcher at Bell Labs in the early 1960s, generating some of the first computer-synthesized compositions, and whose treatise *Meta+Hodos* (1961) applied Gestalt perceptual theory to musical form; later a longtime CalArts faculty member and influential teacher.
